A Workshop on The Healing Joy of Recovery
Each of us is recovering from something. The wounds of childhood are numerous and complex, and the impact of them is enormous. We get to see how truly powerful they are when childhood trauma is translated into alcoholism and addiction, repetitive unsuccessful relationships and challenges in finding our life’s purpose.
What is important is to unveil the suffering you have experienced, to take it from behind the curtain of your awareness and address it directly. Only when you know it, can you change it. This, of course, is often a painful process. It takes courage to bring out into the light what you have been hiding from for years. But it is also the doorway to a true and joyous recovery— living life as yourself in full consciousness, able to serve and to choose relationships and life experiences that fulfill and nourish you.
In this workshop, through meditation, teaching, group process, and shared experience, we will locate the points of pain in your personal biography, start to address them, and through the tender-hearted but conscious facing of what you have been through, begin—or deepen—the journey of your own precious healing
Open to people in recovery from alcoholism, addiction, and life itself.
